Counseling Services

What I require from My Clients

My counseling services requires someone who is willing to do the work that it takes to make lasting changes. I only have a few spots open. This means I truly need someone, who attends regularly and not just when in crisis. Therapy also works best if you are prepared to share, are active in your therapy sessions, and most importantly, you do the homework that is required.  Additionally, sessions are more productive if you are as honest and open as possible.  Personally speaking, I work best when I get immediate feedback from you regarding how sessions are going. So please do not be shy about letting me know your thoughts and feelings; I welcome them.

Costs for Psychotherapy and Life Coaching

Rates

$125 to $150 per session

Reduced Fee

I am more than happy to work with anyone struggling financially.  However, there are limitations to how much I can help in this area. Please call me and we can discuss this further.

What type of payments do I accept?

I accept Medi-Care, Lyria, cash, check, debit cards, health savings card, and all major credit cards.

What if I have insurance?

I do not take insurance but if you have out-of-network coverage, I can work with your insurance to have sessions covered.  We can also discuss reducing your out-of-pocket costs if necessary.

Please check with your insurance company about how providers, who are not in your network, are covered for psychotherapy.  Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible for mental health services?
  • Has my deductible been met and does it apply towards my out of pocket costs?
  • What is my maximum out of pocket costs for individuals and family, and has it been met?
  • What is co-insurance?, do I have one?, how much is it?, and how does it apply to out of pocket costs?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • What do I need to do to get reimbursed for sessions?

Cancellation Policy

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.

What is the difference between & coaching and therapy? Therapy is best used when you are not able to function properly due to a psychological issues, life transitions, and grief and loss issues. Coaching is helpful when you are functioning fairly well but need to work on yourself to achieve your full potential.

Coaching can help if you feel challenged with:

  • Making clear well defined reachable goals
  • Holding yourself accountable
  • Providing yourself with structure, encouragement, and support
  • Directing yourself to accomplish what you need
  • Achieving balance between work, family, friends, and your personal space
  • Coping with life changes, new roles and your identity after divorce, loss of a loved one, physical impairments, retirement, losing a job, or managing life after your children move away from home
  • Being your optimal self
  • Redefining yourself
  • Feeling directionless; unfocused
  • Developing healthy and satisfying relationships
  • Communicating with others
  • Giving and receiving feedback from co-workers, your boss, and loved ones
  • Moving forward; feeling stuck
  • Struggling to live the life you imagined for yourself
  • Honoring yourself

I offer tela-therapy, telephone, and in-person sessions. On a limited basis, I offer in-home services
